At jouri, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

jouri is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:

• All notes and links you create are stored locally on your device
• iCloud sync is enabled by default—your data is synced to your personal iCloud account
• Crash reports are collected through Apple's built-in system (when you have opted in to share analytics with Apple) to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
• We collect anonymous usage metrics via Grafana Cloud to understand how features are used and improve the app. This data does not include personal information or the content of your notes.
• We do not use third-party tracking or advertising services

How We Use Your Information

Your data belongs to you. We have no access to any content you write—your notes, links, and all other user-created content remain entirely on your device and are never transmitted to or accessible by us. All data processing happens locally. With iCloud sync enabled by default, your data is encrypted and synced directly to your personal iCloud account, which is controlled by Apple and subject to their privacy policy.

Crash reports (via Apple) and anonymous usage metrics (via Grafana Cloud) are used solely to improve app stability, fix bugs, and understand how features are used—never to identify or profile individual users.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is encrypted end-to-end using industry-standard encryption methods. All notes and links are stored locally on your device. iCloud sync is enabled by default, so your encrypted data is also stored in your personal iCloud account, which is protected by Apple's security measures.

We do not have access to your encryption keys or your data. You are the only one who can decrypt and access your information.

Third-Party Services

jouri uses the following third-party services:

• Apple iCloud — for data synchronization. Your data is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• Apple — for crash reporting (when you have opted in to share analytics with Apple). Crash reports are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Grafana Cloud — for anonymous usage metrics only. No personal information or content is shared. Grafana Cloud's privacy policy applies to this data.

We do not share your data with any other third-party services.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• You can delete your data at any time by deleting the app
• You can export your data if needed
• All data is stored locally and synced to iCloud, and can be removed by uninstalling the app

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
